Teaching philosophy

I've been teaching Pharmaceutical Chemistry courses for 14 years and have evolved to believe in the ever-changing necessity to keep up with increasing human requirements for health and well-being is the key in connecting the established subject knowledge with contemporary disease management. This has become increasingly important in the post-Covid era, as every health care-related subject must be viewed through the lens of Covid.

Pharmacy is a research-based course and thus, I constantly encourage my students to think critically and connect established knowledge in the medicinal chemistry domain to emerging ailments and recent advancements.

My teaching strategies include problem-based learning, the use of critical learning tools such as computer-based assignments, and collaborative multidimensional research. My goal is to instill in students a desire to learn that will enable them to be lifelong learners and never experience adversity in an ever-changing world.
